Hi,
Is there any way to easily force the blackberry to use POP?
The reason I ask is that the company I work for has an old mail server which has only a few IMAP licenses, this means that IMAP on the blackberry works but 'steals' connections away from the users which need or want IMAP (the MD, helpdesk etc). Historically this has been fine as we've only had a couple of users but we're getting more users who are getting blackberries and its becoming a problem.
While the ultimate solution is to upgrade our mail server that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
One possible solution I've thought of would be to block port 143 from RIMs servers, does anyone have a list or range for them or how practical this would be?
Thanks
