For UTI (Urinary Tract Infections): Can i take Cystex WHILE taking prescribed...

...medication from my doc? I am in pain from a urinary tract infection. I am on the medication my doctor prescribed me but it doesn't take away the irritation. I have quite the busy weekend and I don't want to have to deal with the discomfort of the infection during all of my activities, and I heard Cystex is really helpful. Can I take this along with the medication that was prescribed to me by the doctor? The name is Sulfamethoxazole.. which means absolutely nothing to me lol but anyways. any help please? I'd like to get this tonight and soon so i can relieve the pain
