Does anyone ever sign up to be a Mortarman? I know people that sign up to Infantry (under the impression they'll be Rifleman), but I haven't met anyone that came in wanting to shoot mortars, nor have I met anyone that volunteered specifically to be an 11c. Was this just the units I was in or is this an Army wide thing?
