...kindergarten/Pre-school? I have a 10 month old baby. Long ways away from having to worry about it, but when I think about dropping my kid off at school all day it scares me! I've always wanted to stay home if I had children, and fortunately have been lucky enough to be able to. I just can't imagine being away from my son that long. The longest he's been away from Mom and Dad is just a couple hours, and that's not that often. I've considered homeschooling as well but I haven't decided yet since its so far away. I'd like for him to socialize with other kids because I'm not a social person myself, and if I were to homeschool I don't think I'd do it past 6th grade, so I don't want it to be a shock if I were to homeschool through elementary school and then send them off to middle school with no experience, and middle school was a hard time for me and I was always in public school.

I just picture my son crying and being sad because he feels abandoned. That's probably crazy but that's what I imagine. Do schools call you if theres a problem like that? did your kid like it? If you were scared and sad about leaving your kid how long did it last and how did you deal? I think I'd be more worried about my own guilt and feeling like I'm doing something wrong versus his adjusting.

Also, is kindergarten all day now? When my husband and I were in kindergarten it was half day but I heard now its full day...?
