For those who think about buying Xirvik seedbox

I bought a semi-dedicated server from xirvik. I did not like it at all. Their FTP speed is too low (I can download from FTP with only 2Mbps although my internet connection speed is 8Mbps). Their torrent interfaces work too unstable, even does not work sometimes. Their interest to my emails about the problems is not satisfactory. So, I will not renew my subscription after my 1-month period expires.

i Agree...very unstable and slow a lot of problems with rtorrent and son on, speeds hit 1-2mb upload sometimes..but not more than than other than a couple of secs.

it's slow in all aspects sadly...oversold.

ps. this is about semi-shared. dedi is probably better...
 
I always heard xvirik was pretty good if not one of the best seedbox providers. I dont have a seedbox with them, but did signup for one once, I didnt recieve it after 2 days so contacted them, I was told they were out of stock and asked for a refund which I got pretty much straight away. If your looking for a decent shared plan then I would suggest heading over to www.scene2u.com and speaking to stoner. He aint a seedbox bussiness but seems to sort out alot of his friends on site and the speeds always seem good.

Oh just another thing the OP said about only getting 2mb from FTP was that while the box was still working, as if your only on a 100mb line and it's seeding/downloading at 80mb then 20mb would be the most you would get from FTP
 
Getting good seedbox that stable is hard nowadays. and the price is expensive too for dedi seedbox. it feels like all seedbox seller just want to ripped you off. most of the reason i switch to usenet but i still ust torrent without seedbox tho.. my last seedbox supplier ultraseed was good till they never reply my email and they claim their server hacked so i didnt get a chance to renew my dedi server with them. and i lost a lot of files that i havent dled.
Many seedbox seller just can't say no to buyer resulting oversold and lead to unstable and lack of customer service causing dissatisfaction among buyer.

I have had seedbox (and server) from xirvik since they came in business.
They price are nor cheapest what u can get but customer support is just awesome :) They are in msn all the time and everytime they help me out :)
Never tried to send email them but why to send email when I can talk them directly in msn :)

Speed was fine in europe where I live when I tried shared seedbox. U really can not think u can get speed like 50Mbit with shared seedbox unless there is only two users and even then it will be hard... Why? because when you push your download to limit then upload speed drop down. Every dedicated server will do that. U can try that it with dedicated server :)

I have had seedbox from most of seedbox companies and my opinion is that xirvik is best.

2mbps FTP speed may be normal for your internet connection, if your speed is as shown on your signature, but my speed is 8Mbps and I can never exceed 2mbps FTP speed.

Ive got a shared seedbox from xirvik for about 2 weeks now and im pretty satisfied so far. Most likely will renew it next month aswell if they keep up the same level of quality. Usually dling at close to my full speed from ftp (5 - 6mb/s).

Ah, you are the nice dude who got pissed because we asked you for your assigned server so we could take a look a it :-)

I'm sorry, we need to ask that. Some people email us from an address different than the one we have on file, or have accounts in different servers, and so on.

We replied after 2 hours but wasn't enough for you. We make our best to keep users happy but sometimes nothing in enough.
