are indoor and outdoor and ....? so have all the other cats we have owned. they have never been ran over, or attcked by dogs or picked up diseases. EVER.

i am only 14, and by rights the cats are my mams, but i intend to buy cats when im older. ive heard they can be equally happy indoors and are guaranteed to never pick up diseases because they arent outside. is that true?

also, would it not be cruel to lock up an animal and not allow it to go out? my friend owns a cat, and she is an indoor cat. she is by far no where neer as playful as my cats are and she is younger. and everytime the front door opens, she tries to get out. i think this is cruel. she wants to be outside!

also, if i was to buy two kittens, would it be a good idea to but brother and sister (both spayed and neutered) or a girl form one litter and a boy from another. reason for this?

thanks for your input!

I've four as well, 2 out/inside, 1 is to be in but one twice yrly seeks out, and Digger just indoors, he doesn't want out and really don't want him out.
There is no guarantee you can carry things on your clothes, some things are air born and other cats can sneeze through a window onto your cats. It's safer and less chance they will get sick, or hurt staying inside.
I would only get one kitten at a time to let it bond with you then maybe when it's about a yr old get another. I personally like males find them a bit more affectionate, not true with all but in most cases.
Hope this helps
