For Those w/JackFlash AND TealLock Enterprise

Just found something interesting I'd thought I'd advise on, since I don't want any of YOU getting the same shock I had . . .

I've posted elsewhere on the new TealLock Enterprise edition, and am using it myself. I'm also a JackSprat/JackFlash fan, although it's no longer available.

Anyway, I am preparing for a TX purchase, and did some "Flash > RAM, take a snapshot, label bolder Backup2" work over the last few days, and then subsequently released flash, reconfigured, reinstalled JackSafe, and started merrily loading apps to flash.

I've had some VERY bad crashes. At first I thought it was hack related, so disabled all in YAHM and TealMaster - to no avail. On a whim while walking my dog, I thought "maybe it's the new TealLock?" So I turned off TealLock - and oila, that was the answer. The 2 files in my case were the updated 2.0d version of dbScan, and JKWare's CardBackup. Crashy crashy, no go!

It seems that TealLock Enterprise, even if NO files or apps are "protected" (an added option to require a password to open the program) - will NOT allow certain apps to be moved to flash! You'll get a "hard crash fatal," with a reset button - and the app is still in RAM.

So for those of you with TL Enterprise 6.53 - turn it OFF before moving anything to Flash. It does not seem to affect moving apps to RAM - only the "other way" into flash. It's a good thing really, I suppose - but gave me a start and I thought I'd corrupted my flash (which would have involved repeating the "mass export, release, re-capture, install JackSafe routine).

Just FYI !! / p
