I want to be able to shoot beautiful color, and black and white photographs, blow them up and print them out.
I don't have a budget, and i'm looking to print photos aproximately the size of standard printer paper.

Quality black and white pictures are from medium or large format film. A darkroom expert can make a black and white print in the darkroom better than any digital file printed will look.

If your just starting out and dont have a darkroom then digi is a good option.

It depends on what kind of photography you want to do. Digital is the default choice for most things, because of its convenience and lower materials cost. Film is still favored for artistic photography. Digital will become more accepted there as time goes on, but there will always be a place for fine film photography. However, unless you either do your own darkroom work or work with a good custom printer, you won't see the quality advantage of film, especially black and white.

FILM is honestly the best option. will give u the best color as well as enlarging options. if u want the option to enlarge on a digital camera u need atleast 8megapixel camera and that still wont come close to film.
also film has more variance with exposure and therefore if u make a mistake in exposure it is more hard to point out.

digital.

with software you can do anything you want with your photo to some degree..

what size are you looking to print? and what is your budget?

with digital you can instantly see what your photo looks like, you only pay to develop the pictures you are happy with.

You can't beat film. Exactly as stated before. I enjoy digital as well however because of the many options you can do with digital, photo editing, manipulation, quick posting and showing to friends and family. Just my opinion :)
