For my political cartoon I have to draw French and British people....?

How can I make them look so that they will look french and british? When I draw them, they just look like people.
 
Think on the cliche's of the countries and look at old cartoons. Usually French men have mustaches and women short black hair. British: think of Mod style, the Beatles, bowler hats, and tea. :)
