For my 4-week holiday, can you suggest a European destination where I can do a lot

of hiking? I do not have a big budget, so I will be backpacking and want to stay in hostels as much as possible. Never really been to Europe before.
In fact, I also want to go around on a bicycle! I want to do a nature/eco tour. Maybe stay in the capital cities only for a day or 2 and then move around.

why would you want to walk and strain your body on vacation? isn't vacation about relaxing?
