Question for all you jeep aficianados. I'm looking at a guy selling a jeep; i think a tj, a wrangler later than 95 i believe. its got 180 000 kms on it and I was looking at it today and its got some pretty obvious rust spots even through the bodywork in some places. Theres a pretty big crack in the windshield, and the seats inside got a couple rips on 'em. these seem like a good few problems but its pretty much just aesthetics and, while i know pretty much nothing about mechanical stuff, the motor itself seemed to be in good enough condition dirty but functioning. I'm not sure if its a 2.5L or a 4.0L as i have yet to actually talk to the guy selling it. i intend to drive it home from new brunswick to newfoundland so i wonder how it would fair as a highway vehicle. it was driven from newfoundland to newbrunswick to start with so i think it could make it. the price he is asking for is $3500 canadian but i may try to haggle with him because of the poor cosmetics of the jeep.
