...a bike helmet? I've started riding more and I don't want to invest in an expensive one, but I want to make sure I have the right kind that will keep me safe
 
Unless you are riding competitvely i'm pretty sure a bike helmet will be ok. Though they suggest Riding Helmets because they cover more of your head and are built specially to protect your head in horse accidents
