For energy policy, should whichever candidate pursue the electric car?

like the EV1 - remember that car? It was a pure electrical car that you plug in; those who leased it (only in CA) loved it but GM rounded them up after California's Zero emission law went by the wayside and destroyed them all; but an electrical car was proven to be feasible
