...learned many skills to advance i? For eight years Joan was an office administrator. She was very successful and learned many skills to advance in her position. However, she decided that her love of cooking and serving her family their meals would be a better career fit. She enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and figured she could maintain her position with High Power Industries and attend classes in the evening. After the first month of classes Joan found that on coming home from school she would be cleaning and preparing meals for her 8 year old and 4 year old. Joan’s husband was an executive with an insurance company and had little time to help out, but would feed the children after picking them from school and day care. Also, Joan’s mother and father who lived in the next town encouraged her endeavors to become a chef. Joan’s schedule afforded her little time for study and she found that most of her study work would be done either before or during class.
This morning she received an email from her Chef Instructor for Introduction to Baking, that she was failing her course due to tardiness, improper brigade and low quiz scores. Joan knew that she was capable of learning the material but felt she was always behind because of her schedule. Joan was determined to succeed, because she truly loved cooking and one day hoped to have her own bistro or café. She loved meeting people and loved to organize cooking in her kitchen. Of course she did not know how this would happen, but she knew that it would! After talking to her instructor Joan said she was determined to re-focus her efforts.

WHAT ACTIONS WOULD JOAN HAVE TO TAKE TO CORRECT HER SITUATION?
