I've been writing a long while, and now that I am ready to look into publishing, I am very curious about something: What, to you, makes a book memorable? What qualities does a book have to possess for you to become- and stay- interested in it? Well-developed characters? Unusual or fascinating settings? Unpredictable plots? What elements draw in your attention most? Any input as to what makes a book worth reading and rereading would be greatly appreciated.
