I have neighbors that are getting yard work done EVERY friday at 5:30 in the morning even in the winter, even if its raining!! And this week we have other neighbors who have weekly yard maintenance as well, that are getting some plumbing fixed and have the whole street blocked off all day with trucks and cars everywhere and bulldozers and all that makes a mini construction site. On top of that, they have left a giant hole in the middle of the street that is simply covered with a piece of metal with no signs cautioning drivers. I completely understand that yards must be tended too and plumbing must fixed and is actually during the work week, but EVERY week? THAT early? My question is- is there anything I can do through the city to get the noise and annoyance to reduce to maybe ever other week and maybe later in the day? Or shouldn't my neighbors with the plumbing issue spoken to the other residents making us aware of this giant renovation considering it has blocked off our entire street and has left work vehicles up and down my sidewalk? And/Or are either of these neighbors violating any noise ordnance's? I've looked it up through my city's website and found nothing. I feel like I have some rights considering taxes or the fact that we own our home? if that matters or makes sense! This has all become infuriating and I'm tired of it-literally from being woken up at 5:30am-and I know that's not early for some, but i work until 11pm sometimes and don't go to bed until about 1 or 2am...We all don't have 9-5 jobs. So please just real advice on the question and not about my being a princess ha ha I've put up with all of this for over six months now and I'm hardly being a diva. Thanks everyone who can help!
I have gotten ear plugs and while they do help sometimes..i can still hear everything-- and call my crazy, but i think they should have to alter their yard sched as opposed to my sleep. oh and we have other neighbors who have the same issue with the same nieghbors so I'm not the only one! I'm sorry to already "shoot" down a suggestion I'm just at my wits end! but much appreciated!
