I have a daughter 3 1/2 a son 2 years and a son 7 months. I always own a home daycare and have worked with children of all ages. I would say boys and girls are definitely different. I don't have a preference and I love all children, but they have different weaknesses and strengths. From what I've found girls have an easier time keeping themselves busy and doing quiet things like puzzles and books. Most boys usually are more active and even distructive. I know as Im writing this that people will say,"well my boy, or my girl" I said most. It's just something I've observed with the children I've worked with. On the play ground boys want to play tag, war or football and run around loud. Girls want to play house, hopscotch and jump rope. Most boys are also slower with the self help skills (potty training and getting dressed etc.) That being said my 2 year old decided he was ready to go potty and completely trained himself, so they are all different.
