...anything about lawsuits. Please Help.? Ok... I'm not sure if this is the correct category to post this question but here goes... I'm pretty sure I may have a lawsuit on my hands here but am not sure how to go about it... Here is the situation... My grandfather (who is 79 years old) recently had a prescription of his nerve pills filled that were supposed to be lorazopam (a very low dose of vailum i believe). Anyway my grandmother took his prescription in to have it filled and the pharmacy gave her a bottle that had my grandfathers name and on the prescription it said that the pills were Lorazopam... So she takes them home and gives them to him as directed on the bottle... So my grandfather starts to wig out and talks crazy and is very confused and had a lack of response to pain... It turns out that the pharmacy filled his prescription bottle that said Lorazapam with Xanax's. So he wigged completely out and had to be taken to the emergency room and stuff for symptoms of a xanax overdose.. Well my grandma did not know any better and took the prescription back to the pharmacy and told them the problem... the pharmacist snatched that bottle out of her hand as quick as possible and went and refilled it with the correct medication. I'm sure if necessarry the pharmacy has security tapes and what not to prove what was done about the situation... So my question is can i bring a lawsuit upon the pharmacy for putting the wrong medication into his bottle? I mean xanax is something that is pretty serious to be given to someone 79 years of age by mistake... I mean what if they would have killed him... So please let me know what i should or can do about this situation... all input is appreciated... thank you.
