For all of you Alvin and the Chipmunk fans, I have a quiz for you.?

1. How did the Chipmunk creator decide to make the characters chipmunks?
2. How did he create the high pitch voices of the chipmunks when they were old cartoons?

1. He didn't want to do another mouse (because of Mickey) and he didn't quite like squirrels, so he picked chipmunks (just a guess)

2. I think they recorded the voices at a very slow speed, so when they played it at regular pace, it sounded like the tape had been sped up.

2. He recorded his voice at half speed then played it back at normal speed.
