Above" energy bill? I've heard answers from conservatives and Pelosi haters, but I'd like to hear an answer from liberals or Pelosi lovers. I'm really looking for a logically thought out answer, not one that is full of normal left wing Bush hating rhetoric.
Gentle Giant: that is exactly what I have had a difficult time receiving from liberals; acutal intelligent debate. Is it because there is no logical argument to any of their stance on issues that doesn't have to do with disliking Bush; who by the way is not a conservative.
Rash and Pro: you both make a couple points that I know you believe are relevant, however, the fact remains that the answer to our current energy "crisis" is 3 part. Drill now, conservation, and alternative energy. All of which the "all of the above" bill (not "none of the above") recognizes and endorses. The answer to liberal pollitical posturing has yet to be answered by a liberal.
Tribeca_Belle: your characterizations and argument styles are to be expected. The tactic of avoid and accuse are an old tried&true method of debate by one without an answer. The bill you spoke of was basically a repeat of the democratic energy policy dating back to the energy debacle of the 70's and the liberal ideals that continued through every decade since. Basically, punish anyone who makes a profit by raising taxes and designate which type of alternative energy to be used without allowing the freemarket to decide. I guess your next argument will be "it's for the environment".

Because Bush wants it. We know by now that what ever Bush wants is bad for the country. Bush can no longer fool Congress.
