For a debate, why is Leonardo da Vinci the greatest thinker of all time?

Any information, any books, any websites with factual knowledge are appreciated. Please don't discuss how wrong the Da Vinci Code is, I would like to know only about the man himself and why he is considered or can be considered the greatest THINKER ever.
I have no choice here, I HAVE to argue that he was THE greatest ever.
 
I wasn't aware that he was considered THE greatest thinker ever, but he was certainly one of the greatest geniuses who ever lived.

His greatest strengths were his art, his powers of minute observation, and his almost single-handed invention of technical drawing.

The trick word is THE.

i will grant you ONE, considering all of his inventions, but did he ever ponder deeper things? What about Einstein, couldn't he be THE?
