It is an automatic 6 cylinder, has a 6 bolt torque converter in it and the flywheel has 117 teeth. I buy the starter that it calls for and it grinds and jams into the flywheel. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong for months! Auto Zone sold me a flywheel with only 4 bolt holes and 139 teeth. It still does not look right. Any suggestions? Please and thank you???!!!

Time to find out if that engine was the one that came in it from the factory or if someone has been in there messing around.

Try this. Use your VIN and see if it says the vehicle should have the motor you do.
