I have a 2001 Ford ranger, I recently bought a step trailer hitch brake light, now when I have my lights off, the brake light still works, and when I have the blinker on the right sometimes the trailer hitch will blink too, now both my taillights work, but why is the trailer brakelight only works sometimes, but not on the left side? Now when I turn the lights all on, then everything functions well, its only when there off, sometimes it works sometimes the blinker on the brake light doesnt, but not until I turn the lights on then it works great
