Football sprinting help?

I think everyone has had the trouble of gasping for air after a good, hard run. Recently, my coach has made us consecutively sprint, do agility drills, bungees, and pushing sleds, which is extremely tiring. I find myself gasping for my life after every 2 drills, and I'm tiring out easily.

Can I do something at home to help me get more endurance for this strenuous activity?
And is there a way to breathe more efficiently when I'm dead tired?
