Welcome to the arena.
These minutes spent are the only ones that count.

...So don't waste our time.

In this pit of horror and destruction, you fight against family.
The man at your side is your brother.
The man before you is your brother.
The man you crush into the ground...he is your brother.
Respect him.
But if necessary, annihilate him.

You see this ball? This ball is your freedom.

You will defend your freedom.

They grab at your freedom: punish them.
They touch your freedom: punish them.
They take your freedom: crush them into the ground.

Remember...
When you take your freedom all the way...
Shout your cry of victory, the crowd roaring with approval...
Remember, the pieces reset.
It's their turn now.
They have your freedom.

Get it back.

If you see that quarterback smile, you've lost the game.
Doesn't matter if you have more points.
You give him any reason to smile and the victory is false.

If you limp off that blooded field, don't come back. There is only enough glory for heroes, and heroes are dragged away from battle.

So fight well gladiators. Fight well and always remember why you battle.
You battle for glory. You battle for honor. And you battle for freedom.

But more importantly, you battle because you can.
Because winning makes you smile.

Ok not really a poem but they don't have a monologue section here. Title thoughts? Over-all thoughts?
