As a Steelers' fan, I am looking for reactions now that there is "proof" of what we all suspected - that the New England Patriots cheated the Steelers in BOTH AFC Championship games. It's all water under the bridge now, I know, but, in retrospect: Maybe Kordell Stewart DIDN'T throw the interceptions as much as the Pats knew what was coming, and so were in the right place at the right time.
Ditto for Ben Roethlisberger. He and the Steelers certainly cleaned the Pats' clocks in the regular season that year. And while I know that Ben pretty much sucked against the Jets in the playoff game before the championship game, he did not play THAT badly against the Patriots. Yes, the Steelers took some stupid penalties (at least one) in that game, too, but again: Did Ben throw those "rookie" interceptions, or were the defenders in the exact right positions because they knew what was coming?
Can't change anything, I know, but this can be a "sounding board" for all football fans. Reactions?
Yes - even Patriots' fans.
