I like to play all kinds of sports, so I get all kinds of sports injuries. I think I was pushing it a little too hard when I was running a few weeks back, so now I have an ache in the middle of my right foot. I've only been doing non impact sports since then like cycling and rowing, and my foot feels better but I still have a minor ache in it, so I don't want to go running right away. Are there any things that I can do other than rest it to make it feel better? The ache is deep enough in my foot that I don't see much point in trying to ice it, and it's not really swollen so elevation and compression don't seem to make much sense either. It might be a stress fracture, but I don't feel like getting an MRI done or anything like that. What should I do?
