I started doing Muay Thai about 5 months ago and have recently picked up BJJ. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically Thai boxing, but with kicking, elbows, knees, and clinch fighting. to sum BJJ up it's taking people to the ground and finding a way to submit them. I've started to notice within the last month that when we start the kicking, and strenous leg training that I have severe foot cramping on the outside of the bottom of my feet. I've tryed streching my feet/legs out, but as soon as it feels better, I'll start again, and the cramping returns. I was just wondering if anybody may have some tricks to help the cramping stop, and maybe help explain why it's happening. If you practice martial arts, do you have the same problem?
ps. when I pivot my foot to do my kicks I tend to go on my tip toes, to gain better balance, could this be the problem?
