use ice for swelling, keep it elavated as much as possible , do not wrap it or put on shoes for a couple days. when its starts feeling better try walking barefoot to help streghten the ankle and foot muscles. going barefoot will help the ankle and foot heal faster it also helps your balance and dexterity. i use to sprain my ankles alot untill my foot doctor told me to go barefoot and since i have i havent had an ankle injury in years. plus i found going barefoot feels better then shoes and socks.i think if you start going barefoot you will agree.

Ok so yesterday my family went over to my grandparents house for a Mothers Day dinner. Then my cousin (who is the same age as me) and my younger brother and I went to the park nearby. My grandparents own one bike, so my cousin Trey called it. When we got to the park, he threw it down and went into the baseball diamond. Since he was hogging the bike and called it on the way back, I thought it would be funny to steal the bike. I started pedaling away when he was in the diamond. He saw me and jumped the fence. I was getting competitive, so I wasn't paying attention to the bike. I was wearing flip flops. I suddenly fell, and my foot got caught in the wheel of the bike. My big toe and the bottom of my foot really hurt. I can hardly walk. Should I see a doctor or use my crutches for a few days or just leave it alone?
