I've had very bad seasonal allergies for as long as I can remeraber. The doctor who gave me the first test for allergens said I had some of the worst reactions he had seen. I've done the shots, and they didn't help at all for me. But, I've learned to deal with the seasonal stuff. I've been noticing myself develop more food allergies, and I don't understand what it is I am allergic to so I can avoid it.
This seem to only apply to raw fruits and vegetables. Once something is cooked, it doesn't seem to bother me. Apples & Potatoes = peeling them makes my hanRAB itch likes crazy. Plurabs, Peaches, Apples = eating these raw fruits my throat will start to close up. Bananas, strawberries, grapes = I'll get a mild itch in my mouth.
I used to think it was a matter of allergens in the air getting into the skin of these fruits and veggies while they were growing, but potatoes grow underground... I don't understand why I can eat these things once they are cooked either... I thought maybe it was the fertilizer used or pesticides, so I've tried the organic stuff too and it didn't make any difference.
The burning hanRAB with potatoes thing is relatively recent, so it seems my body is changing for some reason. Is there anything I can do? vitamins to take, certain things to eat?
