Following an upper Endoscopy, having sharp pain when swallowing on one side of throat?

Wondering if anyone has had pain swallowing after an upper endoscopy? I had one 3 days ago, it started hurting about 6 hours after the procedure and hasnt improved in 3 days? Is this normal. Its a sharp pain on only one side of my throat. pain killers help, but only for a short time. Thanks
