I Got a staph infection when i was on Accutane, doc gave me Tetracyline which did not help, Staph came back, i was giving some other Pills and it went away, i am off Accutane now. its now a year later and i am currently having problems with Folliculitis on my scalp and face. I believe it is Gram-negative. I have read that only Accutane or Ampicillin can help me. Can Someone PLEASE give me guidance.
 
I had that and accutane seemed to take care of it. I don't think antibiotics worked.
 
I had folliclitis on my legs several years ago and my derm told me never to use anything but cheap throw away razors and aveeno shaving gel for sensitive skin and I have never had problems since. You don't get a very smooth and close shave but it is better than having huge red painful cysts.
