Im considering getting a fold up bike for general use. Im a student so have a limited budget and have been looking at the various cheaper options. Does anyone have experience of the bicycles4u bikes or similar models by other companies. As students get 10% off at Halfords (hopefully still running) I looked at the Raleigh Swift as well.
Another option is that my Dad is selling his Brompton but I cant really afford the £350 he wants for it. I know I could pay in instalments or what ever but there's also the added thing of theft. My Uni don't offer contained bike lockers just uncovered racks. I know that even with one or two expensive locks, I'd be paranoid about its safety and couldn't risk losing it at all.
So if I was to buy a new folding bike, I want to spend less than £200 on it and want it to fold relatively small.
