I just got my new camera today, so I haven't had a ton of time to play with it yet. I was looking for a good camera with over 10x optical zoom but was pocket-able (I am coming from a Nikon l110) and had some manual settings for me to learn more about the camera/taking pictures with. It does has a wide variety of settings and I love that you can do an extended exposure (but you need a tripod!!!) but I uploaded some pictures and was pretty disappointed (because isn't how the picture turns out what matters the most?). I mainly take pictures of my kids, my pets and scenery. I took a few pictures of our brown puppy playing in the yard and the leaves and grass came in as the object in focus instead of the dog. Same thing happened with pictures of my daughter (on both pet, baby1 and intelligent auto). Any ideas to help???? I love the settings of the camera and the size, but if I can't get great pictures it's not worth it...
