I'm still working to put a GN400 "thumper" back into running condition after some 13 years of storage and I wondered two things..... I want to remove the cumbersome airbox and it's thick foam filter and replace it with either a K&N that will fit inside the box OR a totally new clamp-on type. Will this drastically alter the air flow to the point that I will need to rejet the CV Mikuni BS36SS and if so, how much larger will I need to go?
Secondly, as Mikuni no longer makes this carb and parts are getting hard to find, is ther another carb that will work on this bike?
