FMLA do I need a lawyer?

hello
I just have a few questions
2009 was a very difficult year
I work for a major corporation
I have worked for this company for 6 years.
I had pnemonia and missed 3 days of work... I was told I did not qualify for FMLA... And was suspended pending investigation.... * weeks later they said I did have FMLA. and bought me back to work without pay. (they said not in so many word I should be hapy i have a job) About 2 months later I had to leave again ...came back 3 days later and was told I did not have FMLA... I was suspended pending investigation..8 weeks later they bring me back to work I used my short term disabilty for 5 weeks. the 3 weeks prior were not paid. I have missed 3 days of work due to herniated disk and had fmla papers filled out.. now my lovely hr dept is harrasing my doctor saying the paper work is wrong etc... Two days in a row I had to have a emergency bathroon break lasting maybe 5 min... ( I was throwing up) and was told by my supervisor that it was becoming a problem
and that I should take medicine to stop throwing up...(But they will not allow me to go to the dr until my days off) I believe they want to fire me but I am at the point where I am very angry at them.. And believe they are harrassing me what can I do???
 
As I recall, a person needs to meet certain criteria for FMLA to kick in. For one, you must have used up any vacation or sick time that you had accumulated before your illness. Perhaps you did not use up that time. Why the switch back and forth I don't know. The rules are clear. Your Human Resource person can provide a copy of it for you.
