i currently fish at sweet hope loughs in the Northumberland hills.which is around a 45 minute drive from my house in gateshead. it is not the journey that bothers me but the lack of fish their these days. when i first started going there was always an abundance a fish and the place was packed with eager anglers however on my last few visits which i have noticed there is very few people there and very little activity fish wise very boring! no fish jumping no fish biting etc i didn't catch a thing!!!
so im looking for a new place to fish as this has been the case with sweet hope the past 2 or 3 times.
i would like to know of any really good places to fly fish( preferably trout) in north east england maybe a river or a hidden gem of a lake i have not yet discovered
