fly fishing help please?

ok i started fly fishing about a week ago ive been practicing my casting in the yard which now ive learned isnt a good idea because im going to have to buy a new leader and i was just wondering what kind of flys do i need to fish trout in the streams and rivers of western north carolina mainly native waters and thank you for all your answers and any other equient that i might need other than flys ty so much for the answers
 
well, my fellow trout fisherman, i am in the same situation as you, except i know what they like to chow down on. try bead headed nymphs and smaller may flies or ty mosquitoes. make sure they resemble something realistic and with bright colors. I watch a kid and we fish in the middle of our local river on a stretch of island. look for slow currents near banks and sandbars. this is where the bead heads come in handy, good luck friend!!!!!!!!
