I'm a 17-year-old college student. I'm on my second year of college and would like to get the flu vaccine in a nasal spray form. I've never had the flu, but last year I was exposed to all kinds of illnesses at college, and I don't want to take any risks this year. I've never had the flu vaccine either, so I don't know what to expect. Does it seem like a good idea for me to get the flu vaccine? How will it make me feel? I'd really appreciate a reply this time.

I believe I have had the flu once in the last seven years. I personally would never get a flu vaccine, but believe a person's immunity is what matters. Wash your hands alot when you've been around sick people, and watch out for fawcet handles and doorknobs and other people's telephones for putting contaminants on your hands that you may touch your mouth / eye / ear area with inadvertently.

I'm trying to get into a routine so that I can keep fit and healthy and tone myself up a bit. Next year I'll be going to University, so I need to prepare myself. I still think it's worth getting vaccinated. My mum has booked us both in for the jab, my sister had it once and it just left a mild pain in her arm. There's supposed to be a nasty flu going around this year, so I really don't want to take any chances. Not whilst I'm trying to stay fit and healthy.
