Here in Uk there are suddenly alot of bugs going around - coughs and colds with flu symptoms.
My husband started 2 weeks ago with bad throat and cough and was given antibitoics - he had some flu symptoms - aching and feeling hot and cold - when he felt cold his temp was normal - didn't take it when he felt hot. He was quite ill but after 3 days of antibitoics he felt better but still coughing alot.
4 days ago I started coughing same as husband had - saw Dr who gave me a presc for antibiotic to take if I felt worse. Yesterday I started to ache horribly with shooting pains in arms and legs def the flu ache and by evening was shaking and shivering. At this time my temp was still normal but aftera bout 4 hrs of shivering i suddenly went boiling hot and temp up to 101. Temp came back down to normal overnight but today I feel boiling how especially if I have a hot drink or move around - like having bad hot flushes.
I have started taking the antibitoics as they seemed to help my husband but I seem to be suffering with more extreme temp symptoms than he did and this is worrying me. My temp normally lower in morning and goes up in evening but never gets above 37.2 in evening and can be as low as 36 in morning.
Will a flu virus give me the hot sweats today - I have severe health anxiety so worry constanlty and am taking my temp alot and my pulse as my pulse is fast becasue I am ill.
