I am merely looking for an accurate justification if there are some truth or inaccuracy to what he said. Who can you honestly say has ever admitted to avoiding or ducking someone? It doesn't really sell when you tell the fans that you're taking a fight because it could be easier and make you just as much/if not more money.

In the back of my mind I think he is ducking Pacquiao. He is the only guy that can beat him. And he will, and I don't think Mayweather can do anything about it. And he knows it. Mayweathers only chance is if he can get Pacman to move up in weight. If Mayweather moves down he is finished.
Before he retired who did he duck? He said he was going to beat Oscar & then retire. He allowed Ricky Hatton to get under his skin & every Floyd hater said Hatton is going to beat him & he beat Hatton in every round they fought. He then retired & didn't fight & didn't talk about fighting anyone for almost 2 years. I'm sure he heard all the talk about Manny & how Manny destroyed Oscar & beat Hatton in 2 rounds & so he said you know what I'm going to fight a tune up fight before I fight Manny & who better to fight then the guy Manny had a draw with an a gift wrapped win against in Juan Manuel Marquez. Everyone is like man Floyd's been off two years & Marquez is going to kill him. Well Floyd destroys Marquez & then everyone says Marquez is too small. All the haters always have an excuse for Floyd when he beats their fighters.
