...headlines these days.? Tsunamis in Japan earthquakes in Hattie, last week in my city news of thousands of dead fish floating around and all the dead birds and apocalyptic weather being reported along with the increase of murder and violence where I live has my nerves on edge. These are the signs to watch for in the end times. Are any of you concerned over these occurrences no matter of your religious or even non religious beliefs?
I am really concerned because I know first hand and have been touched by the violence in my community which is increasing every year especially in spring and summer. My grand children can no longer play out side due to the escalating gun fire and shootings. I have many friends that have moved only to tell me later it's in the community they have moved too only maybe not as bad. So what is there to do and where is there to go to escape the violence when you can't sell or even rent and folks are stuck in a war zone? This is probably why I have anxiety over all these events in the news, cause I have been to many of my friends children and grand children's funerals and have a bullet hole in my front window that reminds me how close I am to this violence. So it's not just the natural disasters I am fearful of it's the underlying feeling of helplessness we feel in my neighborhood. It really does feel like the end days here! You have to be in it to understand it.
The little girl that was
a very good friend of mine little niece and it is heart breaking to witness these events. I am not naive I understand the lighting speed mass communication moves but I also have a spiritual side that is mindful of my religious teachings.
I was referring to a little girl that was shot and killed last year while jumping rope in front of her house. She was only 8 years old. Many people I talk with have this same feeling of dread and it's not mass hysteria either, it is an unnerving reality.
