Hello all,

I have been on Flonase for about a year now. I started using 50 mcg 2 sprays in each nostril daily at bedtime. There were times where I had forgotten to take it and so I took it in the morning or skipped it and took the next dose... anyway... I have recently stopped taking it because I did not like the way I was feeling (my sinuses were really drying out and my throat felt funny). I had not seen my doctor (and stopped taking it which is not the smartest thing)... so.. has anyone else done this? I know it is a cortisteroid - it is not good to stop taking cortisteroiRAB. Should I have tapered flonase? I have taken it in the past and dont remeraber my doc's ever tapering it down..

Lately I have been feeling a big anxious/faint/stomach nervousness/tired/depressed...

I have had these feelings in the past but have not had issue with them in a long while.. so I was just curious to see if anyone else had anything to add?

Thanks.

I would be very surprised if the steroid nasal spray was having systemic or psychiatric side effects on you. Very little of it gets into the blooRABtream.

Thanks.

Well.. I have read about people having pretty bad effects with flonase/nasonex/veramyst and singular or certain inhalers... but not found anything with people who have come off of them. Wasn't too sure. But thanks for the feedback!
