Flashing vx8500r (chocolate) to cricket!!

So I've been reading up, on how you can't activate with just the phone or w/e because of the esn. So I TRIED to understand how to convert from hex to dec and whatnot but ended up completely confused because people left out vital information I guess.


Can someone explain to me in detail, how I would go about getting this chocolate to work on cricket. Trying to get it for my sis before her birthday.

alright one more thing, i have no idea whatto do about the PRL, i forgot I'm used to motorola and have all that software. nothing for lg though,and what other settings do i need to change to make the data/clicks (if possible) and texting work.

text will work if you get calls going. If you want to be lazy, test *228xx codes, and you wont have to load the prl if you get one of them to reach cricket's programming line. Otherwise use QPST or LGDownload, the latter is available on Humpa's site. LG Download is also the magical program for getting Pix messagign/internet and even clicks working. Just look up the tutorial for the VX9900 and it's very similar, but with the 8500 dll (also available on humpa's site).
 
well i wanted to be lazy, and tried calling different 228 nurabers but as soon as i press another nuraber AFTER *228 for example *2281 it wont press send. its rediculous. lol

and could u point me to humpas site. i dont remeraber it.
 
thats what it was! i knew it had vzw in it, i kept trying humpavzw.com and everything and nothing. haha
