Flash player 10 wont work?

i have been playing poker on facebook , now it says flash player needs updating and wont let me into a game. the same thing happens on youtube when i try to watch a video.
I went to adobe and updated my flash player and it said install complete but when i go back onto the sites i still cant get past "flash player needs updatin" i have tried numerous times but still no joy.
Anyone any ideas?
 
When you find out let me know because I am having the same problem except my computer won't allow me to update at all. I am so frustrated!
