Flash experts! Question about a transition effect?

I am creating a demo for a scanning company, and would ideally like my slide transitions to be a simple blue light (like you would see on a real scanner) going across the screen. Any ideas how to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

first make solid blue line taller than the stage, then in the windows drop down menu click colors, in the colors module, click the stroke and set it to clear, in the fill part click on the drop down menu and select linear, this adds a side to side gradient, under the bar that fades from white to black there should be two arrows, one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right click in between them and a new arrow should appear, drag this new arrow into the middle, make the middle arrow a light blue color, make the outer arrows white then create a motion tween where the line starts at one end and however many frames later gets to the end if you find its to fast lower the frame rate, or add more frames to the tween
