I have a 32GB flash drive. I do not have a hard drive. I want the flash drive to serve as my Cdisk and be able to install windows onto it from standard setup. I want the computer to detect this as a hard drive. How can I do this? I really dont care if anyone thinks its a bad idea like it is slow or something. I am trying to make a computer fit in a 9*9*9 inch box and a hard drive will take to much room. So how do I do it?

I don't think that you can run an install of XP or Vista from a USB drive. Windows 7 might work..... maybe. Some forms of Linux will work though, like ubuntu.

The motherboard that you are using is a also going to need to be able to boot from a USB device. You will need to access the BIOS on board to see if it will show as a bootable device.
