Fisrt time using OPK Ovulation question and testing?

I am 9dpo today! I am going to take a test on Oct.11th...hopefully it's positive! You can take one Friday...might show by then. Use a First Response Test
 
This is my 4th cycle off BC, cycle is 29 days always.This month was the first month we used OPKs and I got a positive on CD 17 so I am 10dpo. I was wondering if my cycles are always 29 days can I test on friday since I am due for AF on thurs? I'm not sure if I ovulated later then normal, because this is the first time using OPKs... so I'm not sure when to test. We have been using fertility friend to BD on fertile days, but that wasn't working so I got the OPKS. So what do you think when would be an accurate day to take a HPT?
 
If you got a positive on CD 17 you most likely ovulated on CD 18 or CD19 (once you get a positive you usually O 12-48 hours later). I'd test Saturday or Sunday, if you did conceive you want to give the hCG enough time to build to give you a strong positive.
