Fishing-I forgot my nightcrawlers! What can I use?

I want to go fishing in a large retention pond down the street, but I left my nightcrawlers ( for those of you who don't know what those are they are big worms) at my fishing spot further away and cannot go back to get them because my mom refuses to drive me. In the pond there are bluegill, carp, and maybe a few catfish left from the contests they do each year. What can I use for bait?
(oh can I use hot dogs!!??)
 
The carp are gonna be harder to catch, but with catfish you can just about use anything that stinks. You could try hot dogs but not 100% if you would have any luck. Dig around the pond and you will probably find some worms to use just not as big as your nightcrawlers. Good Luck, wish I was fishing instead of working. :)
