i am a very advid fisherman (((in the warmer months))))but i am dead set on putting my boat back in the water one more time before i put it up for the winter. i am just going for some pan fish probably fishing with crickets or jigs. i dont fish a whole lot in the winter except for a little pier fishing for whittings. do y'all have any suggestion for fishin in the winter time, shoot me a couple answers and tell me what y'all think. i am planning on putting the boat in the water on wednesday. it is supposed to be a little warmer on christmas eve. thanks good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

Chartreuse Mister Twister 1 inch grubs on very small pink jig-heads are the best bluegill lure i have used yet. Pick up some Beetle Spins at the local Wal-Mart or Outdoors World. Don't know how to use them? Use them like a spinner bait, same way. Small 1/16 Worden's White Rooster Tails work for large bluegill (8-9 inches and up). Gitzit's Mini-Tube's also work. I have even caught bluegill on 6" purple plastic worms! lol. For the best bet of catching any just get a bobber, size 10/0 hook, small split-shot and a earthworm. The next best thing would be crickets, then bread, corn, hot dogs etc. Buy some earthworms, maybe even pick up some mister twister's and jig-heads. You should catch a bunch. You can also tip the grub with a earthworm for the added scent. You know, what Berkley Gulp! tries to do. Earthworm, bobber, sinker, hook, = 2 dozens of bluegill and a happy fisherman :)
